crucified children, death limpets, ubu bubu vs angry robot, and the hideous introduction of the newest daemon to earth, the pestilence spreader BEEDEELEE



NOT TO MENTION more hitting, swearing, running about, shit sick and blood, and the brutal torment of innocent children than you'll find in ANY issue of Archie. what more could you want? a SEXY NAZI POOL PARTY?

Well, we just recorded episode 16, so methinks it'll probably be episode 17 we review it. Cos no doubt we will. Though my boyfriend is getting sick of us talking about it, apparently... Oops.

You may well be aware of this already, but Warren Ellis sent out the following in his most recent Bad Signal mailing list:

"Listen, if you go to the comics shop tomorrow and you see a comic called UBU BUBU, by a guy called Jamie Smart, published by SLG (whose website seems to be down right now) -- FUCKING BUY IT.

"Um, mister cat? I have to go pee!"

"Nonsense, you can just go in the juice (jug) like I did. Unless you think you're better than me? Is that it? Fuckface? You're better than me?"

It's sort of like Marc Hempel's GREGORY, at the start -- but you realise, a couple of pages in, that Jamie Smart is British. Also, that Smart is several miles crazier than Hempel. Also, that not everyone can write a line like "Slap Rommel in the tits!"

Seriously. I actually hurt myself laughing at this. Find copies immediately."

woo! I finally, FINALLY got to go catch up on about 6 months worth of comics over the weekend (THAT was an expensive outing) and thankfully got the very last copy of UBU BUBU issue 1, and a shiny copy of issue 2.

Very nice work, Jamie :D Mental as ever, and now the mystery of where i got 'IN THE FACE' has been solved. it's all your fault.
